Some rules for conservatives

I just ran across this terrific post from the blog “What Would Jack Do.”  I’m gonna print this out and hand it to my conservative friends (or foes), asking them if they disagree with any of these “do nots”, and if so, how they can justify such disagreement.

Conservatives do not want eliminate all government and or all social programs. However we do want the government to avoid bankrupting the nation which has been happening under both parties. We do not have to end but change these programs to put them on sound financial basis. It would be good to gradually change ss to at least a partil defined contribution plan. Users should be paying all or part of the cost of govt. medical plans depending on ability to pay. Medicade should be block granted to the states. Different states will have different answers. Conservative solvency will trump liberal good intentioned bankruptcy ever time.

HI Tom, I wanted to be the first to tell.

"President Barack Obama’s approval numbers have hit an all-time low, falling below 40 percent for the first time in Gallup’s daily tracking poll. New numbers that Gallup posted today put the president’s approval at 39 percent, compared with 54 percent approval."
