Of late I have been not liking many of Maureen Dowd’s columns – I used to like a lot more of them. Her column over the weekend was pretty ridiculous when you measure it against stark reality. So, I loved it when Charlie Pierce called her out, as only he can do.

Thanks for hipping me to that Charlie Pierce post, it was brilliant, and as funny as Down once was.
Obama is losing on gun control because the public knows a new law would not have prevented any of the recent mass attacks and because of the 2nd end meant plus some democratic senators must run in conservative states.
