Unexpected snow!

Hey everybody.  We were up at our Tahoe/Donner place over the weekend. All during the drive up we noticed no snow at all --ditto on our arrival.  Much to our amazement, it snowed on Saturday. (Hmmm, I'd say that's yet another manifestation of climate change).

From the front bedroom window at the beginning of the snow.

About an hour later from the rear bedroom window.

But of course there really is no such thing as climate change, is there.

Hi Tom,

I thought the Obamasiah was going to slow the rise of the oceans. Do you think he went too far, and precipitated the Global Cooling that the alarmists predicted 35+ years ago. In the mean time Arapahoe Basin in CO has received 17 inches of now in the last 2 days giving us a base of 84 inches. Yea, skiing should be great.

PS This is the coldest weather start in the US, since records began. That is obviously another proof of warming/change or what ever. Oh my!!

Tom, did you see the John Oliver's bit on his show of how the media gets the "argument" over climate change wrong by even offering two sides as if there's a question (one of the examples of what that compares to was a questionnaire asking something like Are there hats? with two boxes you can check, yes or no) but if it has to be debated, since 97.1 per cent of climate scientists agree it's happening (the worldwide temperature keeps ascending and changing weather patterns so that in some areas it can actually be colder, but the average continues to rise etc.) then it should be between three climate change deniers and ninety-seven climate change scientists etc.

The government's own records say in the last climate report, severe weather events are no more likely now than they were 50 or 100 years ago and the losses of lives and property are much less devastating.

The earth has been actually cooling over the last 10 years or so.
