"Birth of the Cool" is an album that collects the twelve sides recorded by the Miles Davis nonet (featuring Gerry Mulligan, Lee Konitz and others) for Capitol Records in 1949 and 1950. The music is considered seminal. This blog is dedicated to that spirit -- keeping things "cool" by blog birthing. If you've got somethin' cool to share, blow on.

Life is ever rewarding
Sometimes I run across something that just makes me shake my head in wonder and smile for hours. I don’t think you will be able to resist this. The kid is fabulous, but I also love the owner of the guitar shop.
Been meaning to let you know how knocked out I was by this kid. Unbelievable. Everything the store guy said afterward was what I had already said to my little guy (who isn't so little anymore, fourteen and up to the bridge of my nose) who I made watch it after I did.
