Thank you Mr. President II

I just ran across another terrific column scolding us for becoming “small and mean” in not recognizing the pretty stunning accomplishments President Obama has made since his inauguration.

I know it may sound a bit over-dramatic on my part, but sometimes I truly wonder whether  this country even deserves this President.  I, for one, am proud that he is my President, but I would be a fool to believe that I will agree with him about every issue.

I was particularly proud listening to his speech given in Norway when accepting the Nobel Peace Prize.  That took some courage to point out to an audience of “peaceful people” that there truly is evil in the world and that sometimes it can only be checked by the use of force when all else fails.

I too wonder if the US deserves some of the Presidents we have had. We had to endure James Buchanan who helped set up the Civil War. Woodrow Wilson briefly brought fascism to our shores. Richard Nixon made us ashamed of the lengths our government would go to deceive. Jimma Carter ineptly threw gasoline on the fires of Islamic radicalism and mismanaged the economy. And now we have a president that believes his Socialistic Community Organizing ideas are more important than free markets and a vibrant economy. He is bankrupting us with runaway spending and his war on business and employment. Obama shows signs of fascism by wishing to limit free speech. His bipartisanship and transparency has turned to one party only dictates behind closed doors. The man is a disaster.

Hey Tom,
I wonder if Dr. Dean, Oberman and Fat Ed of radio and TV fame(I forget his last name) feel thankful for Obama's leadership on health care? It takes a special president to have brought McCain and Dean together in agreement, that the bill should be scrapped.
