"Birth of the Cool" is an album that collects the twelve sides recorded by the Miles Davis nonet (featuring Gerry Mulligan, Lee Konitz and others) for Capitol Records in 1949 and 1950. The music is considered seminal. This blog is dedicated to that spirit -- keeping things "cool" by blog birthing. If you've got somethin' cool to share, blow on.

Music video treasure trove
You just have to check out this cool music video site. Five pages of videos all the way from Jackie Wilson (on page 1) to Led Zeppelin (on page 5). A real trip is Sonny and Cher doing "I Got You Babe," the first entry on page 5. I'm pretty sure you'll dig it - something for everyone.

I did check it out, and had to rear myself away after about 45 minutes, to get some work done. A very fun and diverting collection, with many classics - not to mention a time machine to the fifties, sixties and seventies. Thanks, Tom, for sharing.
